Biography

Jully Lee is an American film, television and theatre actress. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California to immigrant parents from South Korea, she graduated with a B.A. in Human Development from the University of California, San Diego before deciding to pursue the arts. She began her performance career after joining Cold Tofu, the nation's first and longest running Asian American improv and sketch comedy troupe. After her stage debut in a sketch comedy show with Cold Tofu (also a collaboration with Lodestone Theatre, 18 Mighty Mountain Warriors and OPM), Jully received a direct offer for a co-star role on Reno 911! (2003). Since then, she has performed steadily in film and television, working opposite Michael Douglas, Alan Arkin, Sterling K. Brown, Minnie Driver, Shemar Moore, Rachel Bloom and Hayley Kiyoko. Jully was appointed Cold Tofu's Artistic Director in 2014 where she performs and teaches regularly. She is also active in the Los Angeles theatre community as an actor/director
