Biography

Daniel Martin Berkey began acting in 1979. In 1986 he moved to New York City where he attended Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Acting Program. He received his MFA in 1989 and went on tour with The Acting Company for two years. In 1994 he began an alliance with Monkey Wrench Theatre. This began a period of intense workshops and rehearsals, resulting in the world premier of C.J.Hopkins' Horse Country in 1997. In 2007 he began exploring film and TV. He's completed over a hundred projects to date. His last play was Remission, a one-man piece written by Kirk Wood Bromley. It premiered at The New York Fringe Festival in 2009 and won best solo-show that year.
