Biography

Nelson Louis Scott Jr. was born in Beverly Hills California at Cedar Sinai Hospital and raised in Baldwin Hills CA. Both of his parents were entrepreneurs. His late father, Nelson Louis Scott Sr. owned a chain of automobile repair shops and his mother, Veronica Ann Scott owned a clothing boutique. Nelson's mother is from the state of Alabama and his father is of Honduran heritage. Nelson grew up attending church regularly. That is where he discovered his love for performing. He sung his first solo at the age of 5 and brought the congregation to their feet. By the age of 16 he would go on to win 1st place at the famed Apollo Theatre. Nelson also played the drums, piano, and guitar virtually becoming a one man band. Due to his height and natural ability, Nelson spent most of his free time on the basketball court. He was 6'0 ft. by the age of 10 and reached 6'2 by the age of 13. At 12 years old, his family doctor told his parents he would grow to be 7'3, however that dream would not come
