Mauricio Ovalle's enigmatic stare, imposing physique and innate ability to embody 'tough guy' characteristics continually assure him roles with some of film and television's top directors. Fluent English and Spanish, the New York-based actor recently showcased his bilingual ability as a Mexican boxing trainer in Ryan Coogler's multi-award-winning Creed (2015) - a follow-up to the Rocky series starring Sylvester Stallone and Michael B. Jordan. In Michael Almereyda's screen adaptation of Shakespeare's gritty crime tragedy, Cymbeline (2014), Ovalle plays alongside Ed Harris and John Leguizamo as Cymbeline's steely confidant and protector, Fu Manchu.
