Biography

Bettis Richardson Jr. is a multi-ethnic triple threat performer. Born in Glen Cove, Ny and raised in south Florida, he grew up in a large family and comes from a Puerto Rican mother and a Sicilian / African American father. Showing interest in singing and dancing at a young age, Bettis began choreographing school productions, cheerleaders, and dancers as well as opening up his own business, a Cheer and Dance studio, at age 17 before graduating high school. At 19 years old he made his television debut as a finalist on American Idol season 2. After being on the show, he made his move to Los Angeles to pursue his singing and acting career. Becoming infatuated with all aspects entertainment, Bettis immersed himself in dancing on multiple film and television projects, such as "Dancing with the Stars", "the Academy Awards", "America's Got Talent", and in "The Muppets" (2011); as well as touring internationally, then making his Broadway debut with the original cast of "Bring It On: The Mus
