Biography

After graduating with degrees in both Design-Media Arts and Film and Television from UCLA, Alexis Nelson began her career at Warner Brothers before joining Motion Theory. At age 21, Alexis founded the visual effects studio, HOAX Films, which promptly acquired Spike TV's highest rated series, Deadliest Warrior, as a client. At 24, Alexis received her first Emmy nomination for her work on the History Channel's Ultimate Guide to the Presidents. Alexis has worked on a wide variety of films ranging from massive blockbusters like Fast Five to festival darlings such as The Truth About Emanuel, Zombeavers and Revenge for Jolly. She created award-winning work for the digital campaign for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as well as handled digital advertising for HBO's Game of Thrones. Alexis has overseen visual effects in music videos for huge stars such as Britney Spears and Katy Perry.
