Biography

Mr. and Mrs. Elgie Garrett were blessed upon the arrival of their eldest son, Wil Garret (aka 'Mr. G.') on April 20, 1938 in Emory, Texas. He entered into rest on April 29, 2021 in Los Angeles, California. Although we long for his earthly presence, he completed his life's course and God took him home. To be absent from this body, is to be present with the Lord. As was common in the early 50's, Wil left home at 14-years old to help support his family. By the time he was 16-years old, he made his way to California in which he worked odd jobs around Los Angeles. At 18, Wil enlisted in the marines where he was deployed to the Korean war. He proudly served his country. After he completed his time in the Marines, he rejoined his immediate family in Tucson, Arizona. He eventually made his way back to Los Angeles.
