Biography

Mickey Solis is a stage, television, and film actor. He is also a writer and educator. Mickey was a company actor with the renowned American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) for five seasons from 2005 to '10. There he performed as a leading man and supporting actor in classical, modern, and avant-garde plays with prestigious American and foreign directors, including the Hungarian film director, Janos Szasz, for whom he wrote his first screenplay. From 2010 to '14 he was a company member of the experimental independent multi-media theater company, Dangerous Ground, in New York City. Mickey has performed overseas and in a number of Shakespeare festivals and regional theaters in New York and throughout the country. He was a student of comparative religion, Eastern philosophy, and drama. He earned his MFA at the Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University. He lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife, actress Susannah Hoffman.
