The tall, muscular, handsome, intelligent, and versatile American actor, Maurice Johnson, was born in Augusta, Georgia to Ruby and Eugene Johnson, Jr. He credits his high school debate coach for pushing him to use his talents and powerful voice on the school's debate team and in various oratorical contests that garnered him accolades. This foundation led him to pursue his major in college and acting as a profession. Maurice received a football scholarship to Albany State University and graduated with a degree in Speech and Theatre. Maurice is a notable member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. initiated at the Chi Epsilon chapter at Albany State. Maurice caught the acting bug after he stepped on the platform in his first stage play, Thomas Meloncon's "Diary of Black Men," directed by Dr. Wendy Coleman at Albany State's Billy C.
