Melissa Benoist

Melissa Benoist is an American actress and singer with a foundation in musical theatre and television. Trained in dance and stage performance from an early age, she transitioned from regional theatre in Colorado to a breakout role in the musical series Glee. She achieved wider recognition portraying the lead in Supergirl, becoming one of the few women to headline a prime-time superhero series. Her screen work spans drama, action, historical miniseries, and independent film, often combining personal vulnerability with physical intensity. Benoist has also worked on Broadway and founded a production company to expand her creative scope into development and producing, notably with Warner Bros. and NBC.
