Gabriela Garcia Medina

Gabriela Garcia Medina is an American-Cuban-British filmmaker. Gabriela received her BFA from UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television, and her MFA from California Institute of the Arts. Gabriela is a Film Independent Directing Lab Fellow (2020), and a Hedgebrook Screenwriting Lab Fellow (2016). Her short film LITTLE CON LILI won the Best in Fest award at the HBO Women in Comedy Festival (2019), Best Short Contest with NBC (2019) and she was the recipient of Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF) FOTOKEM post-production award. It has screened at numerous Oscar and BAFTA-qualifying, and prestigious film festivals including LA Shorts International Film Festival, Cambridge Film Festival, the Palm Springs Film Festival, HBO NY Latino Film Film Festival, and Miami Film Festival .
