Yngvild Støen Grotmol

Yngvild Støen Grotmol was born in Norway and grew up in Oslo with her parents and her older sister. in her younger years, she and her family moved to San Francisco, where her parents, Dr. Randi Støen and Dr. Tom Grotmol did medical research at UCSF for a couple of years. Yngvild was drawn to the arts early and played the violin and the piano. She loved singing and being on stage in school plays. When she was 15, she moved to the The Dominican Republic as an exchange student where she learned Spanish. Yngvild studied at the music high school Foss Videregående skole, in Oslo, with jazz singing as her main instrument. The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in NYC, was the first acting school Yngvild attended. She also studied acting at Rose Bruford in England and three years at The Nordic Institute of scene and studio in Oslo. She studied linguistics, psychology, and theatre history at the University of Oslo. Yngvild is an accomplished actress across all genres, drama as well as comedy,
