Biography

Jamie Dugger was born in Killeen, Texas on October 17, 1965 to Ret. Army LTC James E. Mew and Joan Alma Mew, the youngest of five children. Her mother is a retired secretary and her biggest fan. Even though Jamie became interested in acting as a child after attending theater acting classes she only played in one school production which earned her a best actress award from the student body. She was a frightfully shy child which carried into her adulthood and it wasn't until after her children persuaded her to participate in a community play in 2001 that she became interested in theater again, and this time it stuck. She began participating in her towns' community theater and then auditioned for her first independent film, The Stopping Place, in 2006, in which she got the lead role. She has been married to businessman Jeff Dugger since 1989. Together they have four children and one grandchild.
