Biography

Ben Steinbauer is an award-winning film, television, and commercial director. His feature documentary, Winnebago Man, Michael Moore called, "One of the funniest documentaries ever made!" and Roger Ebert named it one of his favorite films of 2010. Steinbauer directed 8 episodes of the CBS documentary series, Pink Collar Crimes, 5 episodes of the Emmy-winning PBS show, Stories of the Mind, and 3 of his short documentaries - Heroes From the Storm, Calls To Okies: The Park Grubbs Story and Slow To Show - have been selected as Vimeo Staff Picks. Steinbauer is the recipient of the Princess Grace Award for Filmmaking, was named "one of Texas' best directors" by Texas Monthly and is co-owner of the Emmy-award winning production company, The Bear. He has directed commercials for Yeti, Crate & Barrel, Shiner, Whole Foods, LinkedIn, Popeyes and Indeed. He is represented for film and television work by ICM Partners and for commercial work by Lucky 21.
