Biography

Kellie Aiken is a versatile American actress and opera singer originally from South Carolina, with a chameleon-like ability to morph into the characters she portrays. She began her work in theatre at the age of 3, where she developed an early passion for and cultivated her skills in the craft of acting, music and dance. She graduated with a BA in Theatre and a BA in Mass Communication from Winthrop University. Upon graduation, she toured for a year with Stageworks Improvisational Theatre Company and then moved to New York, NY. While in New York, Aiken studied opera at The Juilliard School and trained in method acting with her mentor, Vincent D'Onofrio. In 2003, Aiken played Meip Gies in the Off-Broadway production of "The Diary of Ann Frank," and followed that performance with work at The Bernie West Theatre as Rose in "The Wool Gatherer," Desdemona in "Othello," and Gwendolen in "The Importance of Being Earnest."
