Biography

Caitlin Sanchez is an American actress. She was born and raised in Bergen County, New Jersey just across the river from New York City. She is a third-generation Cuban-American. She was home-schooled her whole life, which she says helps her relate to socially-awkward characters. Caitlin was nominated for two NAACP Image Awards for "Outstanding Performance in a Youth/Children's Program" and two Imagen Awards for "Best Television Actress" for her portrayal of the sweetheart preschool icon "Dora the Explorer". Caitlin also played the comically-depressive Monica in "Phoebe in Wonderland." She has also made guest star appearances on the TV shows "Law & Order: SVU" playing Catholic school-girl Lupe Rojas, and "Lipstick Jungle" playing uptight bookworm Celia Vega. Recently Caitlin was cast as the lead in the romance film "Finding Laney".
