Biography

Scott Hallgren is a composer, musician, and sound editor. Over the last decade, Scott's scores have served a diverse and successful group of independent films and television programs, and have received critical acclaim. Of note, "Frank" (2020) won an Independent Horror Movie Award for Best Music, "Perfect 36: How Women Won The Vote" (2017) on PBS won a Bronze Telly; "Sith'D", a short Star Wars spoof, won Best Comedy at Comic-Con (2006); "Gracie: diary of a coma patient" (2010) won a Silver Medal for Music Excellence at the Park City Film Music Festival; and the mid-South Emmy-nominated "We Shall Not Be Moved: the Nashville Sit-Ins" (2011) which also won both a Silver Telly & Golden CINE Award. His music has also been featured on the soundtracks of Smart People, London Tango, Self Offense, The History Detectives, and Paul Williams - Still Alive.
