Biography

Lonoff has a background in theatre. Early stage appearances include touring companies of They're Playing Our Song, Fiddler on the Roof and The Lord Loves Music as well as a variety of regional and stock productions. In more recent years, there have been countless workshops, showcases and concert readings in NYC - plus the requisite appearances on NY-based TV shows such as "The Sopranos" and various soaps. For thirty years, he worked in computer training and security at leading banks and insurance companies - during which time he established himself as a produced and published playwright. Jon Lonoff's writing credits range from an adaptation of Aesop's Fables for marionettes to a training film for Sunoco gas station attendants. His theatrical and film writing has included The Garbage Cantata (with Barry Keating), a musical about recycling, commissioned and produced by Riverbarge Productions, published by Samuel French, and later produced for video by the United Nations; The Dark Knigh
