Stephen R. Powell

A filmmaker, photojournalist, and avid explorer, Stephen is driven by an insatiable curiosity to explore and tell the stories beneath the surface. His first documentary (producer/director/ writer) was a 26-minute pilot called A Round for the House (2002). His first major success came when he was lead editor and story editor on the award winning film The Forgotten City (2006). He has earned screen credits as a director, story editor, producer, field producer, director of photography, and editor on over 100 national television shows and projects. These have included programs for every one of the major networks, NBC, CBS, ABC, National Geographic, United Nations Films, Paramount, CNN, The History Channel, PBS, AP, Reuters, Discovery Networks, FOX News Channel, Travel Channel, Food Network and more.
