Einari Paakkanen

Einari Paakkanen is a filmmaker focusing on human interest stories and on warm and intimate storytelling. He graduated as a Master of Documentary Directing from Cinema and Audiovisual School of Catalonia in 2013. His first feature documentary My Father from Sirius (in co-production with ARTE) had its international premiere in Warsaw Film Festival in 2016. His other documentaries include Cross-Country and Permission to Fall. Paakkanen has also directed animation. He has participated in IDFAcademy, Twelve for the Future, Ice & Fire, MFI's Script 2 Film and the Berlinale Talents - programs and was a member of the board in the Finnish Documentary Guild between 2015-2020.
