Kayd Currier

Kayd Currier was born in Derry, New Hampshire to Heather Angers, a nurse and Richard Currier, motorcycle enthusiast and shop owner. He is of French, Irish and Italian ancestry. Following in his father's footsteps, Kayd was placed on a bike from age one, and was riding his first motorcycle at three years old. Drawn to the open road, Kayd travelled the U.S. as a professional motorcycle racer. While at the top of his game, a series of life-changing events altered the trajectory of his career. On July 7th 2000 Kayd's best friend Jamie Bowman, also a fellow professional motorcycle racer, was killed in a catastrophic collision at the Laguna Seca Raceway in Turn 2. One year to the day later, July 7th 2001, during a race, Kayd also suffered a terrible crash in Turn 2. His injuries were identical to those that killed his friend, and he was put on life support.
