Joey Chanlin

Joey Chanlin is an American Actor based in New York City. Having lived in Hong Kong for 7 years and Taipei for 5 years Chanlin is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese. He also speaks Shanghainese-Chinese with his family where is Mother's side of the family is originally from. Chanlin's multi-cultural upbringing allowed him to be open-minded and creative. After composing a song at age 3, his family was convinced that she should be placed in some sort of artistic training- thus he started training in Classical Organ and Piano at age 5. His musical ability brought him to his first Piano recital at age 6. Also a singer and composer, Chanlin was hand -picked by the principal of his elementary school to star in an A Capella trio singing group called "The Sun, The Moon and The Star" which has performed extensively throughout Asia. In 2008 Chanlin Scored his debut film appearance in "Frozen River" which went on to win the Grand Jury Prize of Sundance Film Festival and 2 Oscar Nomiantions. T
