Biography

Simone Vicari Moore is a Brooklyn-raised, British-Jamaican actress. Born in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Moore spent most of her teenage years in Brooklyn, New York City with her extended family, she started singing and dancing by age 5. In high school, she studied Sarah Vaughan and Billie Holiday's complete catalog of songs. She would take off to Manhattan to perform in talent shows and modeling events. After enjoying work as a model and voice-over artist in New York and Paris, she decided to try acting. The model turned scholar decided to apply to drama schools and was accepted to the UC San Diego Theatre and Dance Program among others. At UCSD she had the pleasure of working with Des Mc Anuff, Darko Tresnjak, Anne Bogart, Lisa Harrow and Fiona Shaw among others. Right out of school she started working Off-Broadway at The Classical Theatre of Harlem and has performed many plays in New York, Los Angeles, and regionally, including the prestigious La Jolla Playhouse.
