Seth M. Shulman

Biography

An award winning documentary editor and filmmaker, Seth M. Shulman grew up in a home video household, and it was only a matter of time before he would look into the viewfinder himself. His work has aired nationally for CBS, ABC, and PBS. It has screened at the American Film Institute, Panavision, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, American Cinematheque, and film festivals worldwide. He has collaborated with institutions including NBA Cares, HooplaHa, the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles, PBS, and the Fillmore Jazz Festival in San Francisco. He has propelled several documentaries such as "The Oviatt Building", the self titled historical documentary detailing the first Art Deco jewel of Los Angeles with historian Marc Chevalier, the award winning documentary "Walking in my Sleep", a vivid poetic telling of author Michael C. Cooney's experiences growing up with Cerebral Palsy, and producer Joey Travolta's award winning documentary "Lights, Camera, Independence", which follows five individuals with developmental disabilities as they work as film crew while traveling for the first time. Always with a camera in hand, Seth continues to guide audiences through his dynamically driven approach to storytelling.
