Biography

George Contini is a Professor in the University of Georgia's Theatre and Film StudiesDepartment where he specializes in Characterization, Solo Performance, Acting on Camera, and Queer Theatre and Film. Synthesizing all these areas, his current research is in the re-creation of "lost" early 20th century gender bending musicals. He has recently been seen in a number of episodes as Mr. Springthorpe the drama teacher on CW's Legacies and met a grisly death on Black LIghtning's final episodes. Recent professional acting and directing credits include; The Explorer's Club (AuroraTheatre),Put It In the Scrapbook (Chicago Fringe Festival),Hidden Man (7Stages),Don't Dress for Dinner (Aurora Theatre),Assistance(Pinch N Ouch Theatre),Shear Madness(Kennedy Center, Alliance Theatre),Big Bang (Horizon Theatre).
