Biography

Michael H. Goodwyn was born in Hampton, Virginia, and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He began his acting career at the age of five, and by the time he graduated from high school, he already had over 8 years of dramatic training and had appeared in several industrial films. Michael received his B.S. degree in Communication and Theatre Arts from Eastern Michigan University. Michael began his career by teaching Speech and Theatre at several high schools in Michigan, Maryland, Texas, and Florida. He was a nationally recognized director. Michael and his wife founded the North Broward Young Adult Theatre (NBYT), a non-profit theatre company featuring works by, for, and about teens and young adults. Several of Michael's high school and NBYT students went on to successful careers as actors on Broadway and in films, as well as work as animators and stuntmen. His best student, Billoah Greene, is now a successful actor who will star in his latest film, Preaching to the Choir, set to open in Apri
