Eduardo Renta

Eduardo Renta was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. His interest in music began at the tender age of six, and he began playing guitar at nine. He got involved in acting at 12. He is the nephew of internationally acclaimed designer Oscar de la Renta, which denotes the artistic in his family and at the same time places a heavy burden on Eduardo's shoulders. He understands that only with talent and great effort will he be able to walk out of the shadow of his uncle's great success, and make a name for himself in the world of music and acting. He wrote his first song at age thirteen, and was playing concerts the very next year. His band, "Contraste", achieved multiple chart topping hits in the Dominican radio circuit. Taking music lessons throughout his teen years helped him develop his guitar, singing and songwriting skills and shaped him for a future in the music industry. He was also involved in acting, and was working with some of the best professors in the Dominican Republic
