Biography

Dave Franco is an American actor and filmmaker. He studied at the University of Southern California, initially planning to become a creative writing teacher until, encouraged by his brother James Franco, he turned to theater and acting. Franco made his television debut in 2006 and gained early visibility in the final season of Scrubs. He went on to establish a career in film and television, taking on roles across comedy and other genres, while also lending his voice to animated projects in film, television, and video games. In 2020, he made his directorial debut with The Rental, co-written with Joe Swanberg and starring his wife, actress Alison Brie. In 2015, he won the MTV Movie & TV Award for Best On-Screen Duo with Zac Efron. Franco continues to pursue a career marked by versatility and creative growth.
