Gregory Fennell

Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Gregory discovered a love for acting at an early age and attended St. John's College High School where he appeared in several plays a year. He moved to Baltimore, MD and started acting in plays at the Arena Playhouse, the oldest continually performing and historically African-American community theater. He caught the attention of casting director Taylor Royall, after his first lead in a play, directed by the enormous John Water's protege of the 1980's model/actress Jean Hill (Desperate Living, Polyester). Casting director Pat Moran hand-picked Gregory for his first role in a feature film, "Homicide", directed by David Mamet. A shot in the dark chance with a new talent manager, he landed a role, among the cast of Michael Boatman and Don Cheadle in the riveting Miguel Pinero stage play, "Short Eyes" directed by actor Dylan McDermott.
