Biography

Hailing from Los Angeles, CA. by way of Texas, I am sometimes better known as, K.J.! My interest in advertising began early on having been the hero or main performer in over fifty national commercials and special promos for companies like McDonalds, Mountain Dew, Adidas, Nike, Fox Sports, Play-station and Subway. Once I became too old to be the young guy anymore, my curiosity shifted to wanting to understand the more innate workings of advertising. This is when my Directing and Writing endeavors began. In 2010, I found some incredible success penning an updated adaptation of the urban, cult classic, Cooley High, which led to my first feature film, "Caught on Tape", a progressive, Shakespearian-street, hip hop musical starring Cedric the Entertainer, Vivica A. Fox and Bokeem Woodbine. I then wrote the urban drama "Maestro", that was commissioned by, Mitchell Lieb, President of Motion Picture Soundtracks, Disney Pictures. In 2012, I won "Best Music Video" for "Welcome to Summer School
