Biography

Sara Sommerfeldt was born in Munich, Germany. She studied acting at Staatliche Hochschule fuer Musik und darstellende Kunst Stuttgart. On completion of her diploma in 2001, she began theatre performances, including the prestigious Staatstheater Stuttgart and Schauspielhaus Bochum. Sara's TV career started in 2004, when Bernd Fischerauer cast her for Apollonia (2005) opposite Götz Otto and Hans-Michael Rehberg. Since then, she has performed in various movies and series. In 2005, she portrayed the daughter of Juliane Köhler and Henry Hübchen in Markus Imbodens TV movie Auf ewig und einen Tag (2006), that was nominated for the Adolf-Grimme-Preis. During same year, she was one of 7 1/2 Frauen (2006) in the so-called short by Georgian director Bidzina Kanchaveli, that was awarded the Best experimental short film prize by jury president Ridley Scott at the I've seen films festival in Milan, Italy.
