Biography

Dan Clifton works as a writer and director across both documentary and fiction, often on projects at the intersection of the two genres. Dan started his career as a political journalist. After a stint in Tony Blair's broadcast communications team in the run-up to the landslide 1997 election, Dan moved into making documentaries. Known for films Inside North Korea's Dynasty; Horizon: Swallowed by a Black Hole; Secrets of the Dead: What Happened to the Hindenburg and Equinox: The Engines That Came in from The Cold. With a couple of award-winning shorts under his belt(The Calculus of Love; Patient 39), he is now developing a number of genre-focused features with international producers.
