Referred to as the "Ambassador of Country Music," Shawn Parr has spent 20 plus years on the Los Angeles country music scene. His involvement in country music spans from his current radio shows to television and the Academy of country music. In August of 2006 thousands of fans rallied to get Country Music back on their local airwaves when the defunct KZLA-FM flipped formats in August of that year. Shawn Parr was the on-air talent when the KZLA flipped. Within less than three months from the loss, Southern California had a new country station on the air. Five months later Shawn Parr was back on the air anchoring the new station. You can find Shawn Parr as KKGO's wake-up voice on his morning show entitled "Shawn Parr with Ashley Paige"(Ashley Paige was formerly a part of the KZLA morning show).
