Darrell M. Smith

Darrell Michael Smith (born June 22,1971) is an American actor, producer and entrepreneur. He is an actor who identifies with characters defined by their grace, dignity, humanity, and inner strength. Smith moved to New York City and started his career by studying at The Negro Ensemble Company performing scene work from great playwrights such as Lorianne Hansberry's "A Raisin In A Sun," August Wilson's "The Piano Lesson" and "Fences" to name a few. Smith once quoted that, "An actor only learns how to act in theatre." Taking initiative, he then went to further study at workshops at Stella Adler, and study the works of Shakespeare, Eugene O'Neil's "The Iceman Cometh," Arthur Miller's "The Death Of A Salesman" and many more. He appeared in many off-Broadway productions through out the country and continued to work the craft.
