Biography

Award-winning filmmaker Andrew Lawton hails from Melbourne, Australia, and is the owner of Kinetic Studios - a production company based in Lower Manhattan. He has directed some of the industry's biggest names, most recently Neil Patrick Harris, Helen Mirren, Alec Baldwin and Liam Neeson for WNBC's 'A Roundabout Road to Broadway' television special. Originally an actor, Andrew made his television debut in 1998 as a guest star on Aussie drama 'State Coroner', and was then cast as Jake Black on hit soap, 'Neighbours'. In 2000, he made his directorial debut as writer/director of 'Rain' - a feature film that had a sold-out premiere at Melbourne's Randall Theatre. Andrew moved to New York in 2000 to accept a scholarship studying film and theatre at Sarah Lawrence College. He received his MFA in 2003 and was cast soon after as Logan on ABC soap, 'One Life to Live'.
