Biography

Nicole Salter is a native of Los Angeles. Her interest in acting started with the stage, where she grew up watching her mother perform locally and regionally, singing in Barbershop Quartets and with organizations like The Sweet Adelines and the Marina Singers. She didn't become interested in Film until her late teens, when she met her first acting coach, Jennifer Lehman (of the Charles Conrad School of Acting). The subtleties of film compelled her and in order to master the art of film acting, she began working with Jennifer 2-3 times per week. In 1997 she took a job as a Stand-in on the Academy Award winning film "As Good as it Gets". She quickly caught the attention of the director, James L. Brooks and he soon had her in the thick of things. Working as the actress across from Nicholson, Jack, in many of his close-ups, her confidence grew enormously.
