Biography

Born into a family of pop-culture enthusiasts in Hartford, Connecticut, Rob grew up during the technical revolution of the 1970s. He was one of the first kids on his block to have cable TV, a top loading VCR and the first wave of home video games (including Pong). His parents, Bob and Irene, spent quality family time, with he and his younger brother Kevin, enjoying TV, listening to musical soundtracks or going to the movies. Rob happily absorbed all of it, especially the work of such directors as Frank Capra, Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, Blake Edwards and David Lean. Shows like M*A*S*H, All In The Family, Three Stooges, Sesame Street and Saturday morning cartoons (especially Schoolhouse Rock) were Rob's true education, but he finished school nonetheless. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire in 1993, with an English degree, he focused his energy towards his real passion, the movies.
