Biography

Also known as "El Tino", he was born in Tulúa, Valle del Cauca. His career began in 1988, when he joined Cúcuta Deportivo, where he played until 1990. Then he joined Atlético Nacional and a year later he was hired by América de Cali. In 1992, he was signed by the Italian Parma FC where his performance led him to be proposed for the Golden Ball.
