Biography

Vinicius Zorin-Machado was born in Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on July 12th 1982. His father, Antonio Carlos de Oliveira Machado, is a former professional soccer player turned entrepreneur. His mother, Sueli Ferreira Machado, segued her way to the limelight as a dancer. She earned the title Queen of Carnival in Brazil (while pregnant with the young Vinicius) and shortly after, gave it all up to become a full-time stay-at-home mom of three. At the age of ten, Vinicius started studying Capoeira, a Brazilian dance form, which led him into the discovery of his love for the stage. In 1994, the family migrated to the United States, finding footing in Orlando, Florida. In the US, Vinicius started playing soccer for a junior soccer team while continuing in his Capoeira endeavors. This led him to becoming a guest performer on one of Miss Brazil-USA's opening acts.
