Biography

A native New York screenwriter born to two artists, her mother an actress, international model, and dancer, Nubia Olivero, and her father, stage actor, dancer, and musician, Leo Ryers. Both parents have been in the Film, Television, and Music industries for years. Though performing on stage as a dancer most of her life, MJ's interests leaned towards dramatic theatre, film, and television during her years at Fiorello H. LaGuardia School of the Performing Arts and Visual Arts. Studying at HB Studios after school with her mother, at New York's very own Carnegie Hall, as well as with teacher and Director Stan Roth, coaches and actors Barry Papick, and Kirk Baltz. In addition, having been influenced by her father's musical talents MJ studied and plays the piano, guitar, and for some years now she has been studying Opera. As a writer, MJ's first three scripts, two original comedies and an original dramatic screenplay, were all in production in less than 6 months. She is working on an origina
