Biography

Originally from Japan, He is action director and editor currently based in Los Angeles. In Japan, early 2000, Ken Ohara and his brother, Go (Action Director of Death Trance), began shooting a number of reputable independent short action movies. Known as the Ohara Brothers, their movies incorporated Hong Kong style wire techniques, which enhanced the low budget productions. This soon caught the attention of audiences and industry people across Japan. Later that year, Ken made the decision to come to America and study the Hollywood style of film making. Ken directed his first action film during the spring of 2001, in doing so he went back to Japan to scout the talents of Hayabusa Action Team, U'den Flame Works (Versus, Shinobi, Death Trance) and of course his older brother, Go. His first film was entitled "City of Yokohama", the name of Ken's hometown. The film won him Best Picture 2001 at his school and it even played it at a local theater for a limited time.
