Mario was born in Mexico City and from a very young age he was fascinated by the music of Carmina Burana by Carl Orff, since his mother sang in the Choir of the National Conservatory of Music. At age 12 he was selected to participate in his first television commercial for a milk brand and began his career as a stunt-double in "Nada Personal" where he participated next to Demian Bichir while studying Drama at The Russian School of Acting for four years, where he also learned fencing, height falls and stage fighting.
