Alonzo Golden

Born in Newark, New Jersey, Alonzo was raised by his single mother Lillian. The small family, which consisted of his mother, his younger brother Anthony (A/K/A Royal)and himself moved several times across the Midwest and East coasts. In 1982, the family became disenfranchised and was homeless in New York City for several years, during which time Alonzo attended acting classes at the Michael Sawyer acting studio but was unable to fully complete them due to relocation issues and financial setbacks. After an extremely difficult period, the family eventually settled in Brooklyn, New York. Having always been raised by his mother in a Christian manner, Alonzo easily turned a blind eye to alcoholism and drugs (even during the period of homelessness), instead enjoying his hobby of reading comic books (he is a self professed Marvel comics fanatic), working out with weights and writing short stories.
