Matt Duffer is an American filmmaker whose career grew from a long-standing creative partnership with his twin brother, Ross. After studying Film Production at Chapman University in Orange County, he continued the collaboration that began in childhood, when the brothers made short films using an H8 video camera. Their early professional work, including the feature Hidden and writing duties on Wayward Pines, established their interest in suspense-driven narratives. Duffer gained major visibility with Stranger Things, which earned global recognition. Through Upside Down Pictures, he has expanded into developing new series and films, strengthening his presence in contemporary genre storytelling.
