Kate Moran

A cult figure in auteur work, Kate Moran has been living and working in Paris and New York since receiving her BFA in acting at the conservatory Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. She has worked with Yann Gonzalez since his first short film. The film maker has written roles specifically for Kate in three short films, as well as his first feature You and the Night (2013), which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and his second Knife + Heart, starring opposite Vanessa Paradis and Nicolas Maury. The film was in competition at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018. Her encounter with Rebecca Zlotowski led to the two writing their first theatre piece together, Contrechamp, which premiered at the Festival d'Avignon in 2015 and Kate starred in Rebecca's film for the Opera de Paris, 3eme scene entitled 09/06/2015, as well as making an appearance in Planetarium (2016).
