Biography

Born and raised in Culver City, California, a Los Angeles native. The half Costa Rican and half Okinawan Kimiko Yení Rojas grew up dancing hula with Halau Keali'i O Nalani which in turn was the first step into her life as an actor. From living in MGM's old back lot, to being a Dancing Angel in her pre-school's Christmas Show, to playing a Co-Star role "Barbie" on Hannah Montana, as her parents would say "She was born to be on stage." Kimiko started her career dancing Hawaiian Polynesian Hula at age 9 and loved the feeling of the lights, the stage, and the feeling deep in her heart. A classmate suggested trying out for the school play and a chance to make new friends. At the audition, it was Kimiko's first time on a stage speaking (a monologue); it was love at first sight.
