Anand Vadehra

Anand aka Hinjewboy was born in New York City to his Hindu father and Jewish mother. His childhood was spent divided between Manhattan, the Colorado Rockies, and Florida's Tampa Bay. After high school (The Bayard Rustin High School For The Humanities in Manhattan), he attended Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Communications for two and a half years to pursue degrees in sociology and video production before taking a leave of absence to reconsider his educational pursuits. During his time away from Syracuse, he discovered a love for science after he found his exploration into sociology a disappointment. He went to SUNY-Stony Brook on Long Island, NY where he spent the next three years earning a bachelors degree in chemistry. Anand then enrolled in the chemistry department's Ph.D. program at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Pasadena, California with the hopes of one day teaching and researching in the general fields of chemistry and biochemistry.
