Yasuaki Nakajima

Yasuaki Nakajima was born in Hokkaido, Japan. A self-taught filmmaker, after high school, he went to Tokyo, where he honed his craft by shooting a short claymation film with second-hand Super-8 mm film camera in his apartment at night while working during the day as a highrise window cleaner. In 1994, he hitchhiked all around Australia, filming his 6-month experience in the desert. He moved to New York in 1996 to join the independent film community.
