Charles Janasz

Charles Janasz is an actor most recently seen as Albus Dumbledore/Amos Diggory in the West Coast Premier of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" at San Francisco's historic Curran Theater. He has appeared on such series as Modern Family (2009), Truth Be Told (2019), Bosch (2014), Married (2014), Bones (2005), Frasier (1993), and Dharma & Greg (1997), but is best known for his extensive work in the American theater, classical and contemporary, Broadway, Off- Broadway, and at many of the country's most prestigious regional theaters. He has been a long-term leading company member at Washington, D.C.'s Arena Stage, The Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, and is an Associate Artist of San Diego's Old Globe Theatre. In a forty-year award-winning career, he has distinguished himself playing kings and clowns, Shakespeare to Durang, musical, drama, tragedy and farce. He trained at the University of Washington and the Juilliard School.
