Biography

Lloyd was born on January 3, 1986 in New Orleans, LA. He, his mother, and his older sister moved to Atlanta, GA when he was 2, following the murder of his father. Lloyd's music career kicked off with the group N-Toon (which also included his younger brother Chuckie). The group disbanded when he was 14, after about 4 years, but Lloyd continued to make music on his own. In 2004, he released his debut single and album, "Southside," under Murder Inc. Records. The single featured label-mate and singer-songwriter Ashanti. Lloyd followed with 2007's, "Street Love," which featured mega-hit single, "You," with rapper Lil' Wayne. The song peaked at #1 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart and #9 on their Hot 100 chart; it is still one of the most played and requested songs from his catalog. After releasing his third album and fourth albums, "Lessons in Love" (2008) and "King of Hearts" (2011), Lloyd took some time away from music to focus on family and school.
